Sculptra
The Collagen Stimulator
Sculptra works differently than traditional fillers — instead of adding volume directly, it stimulates your body's own collagen production for gradual, natural-looking results that can last up to two years.
Sculptra Aesthetic is a unique injectable treatment that works fundamentally differently from hyaluronic acid fillers. Rather than adding volume directly, Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible synthetic material that stimulates your body's own collagen production. The result is a gradual, natural-looking improvement that builds over several months and can last up to two years.

How Sculptra Works
Sculptra contains microparticles of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible, biodegradable synthetic material that has been used in medical applications for decades. When injected into the deep dermis, these microparticles act as a scaffold that triggers your body's natural wound-healing response.
As your body responds to the PLLA microparticles, it produces new collagen fibers around them. Over the following weeks and months, this new collagen gradually restores facial volume and improves skin quality. The PLLA microparticles are eventually absorbed by the body, leaving behind only your own new collagen.
The Sculptra Treatment Protocol
Unlike HA fillers that deliver immediate results, Sculptra requires a series of treatments — typically 2–3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart — to achieve optimal results. This gradual approach is actually one of Sculptra's greatest advantages: the results develop so naturally that most people simply notice that you look better, more rested, and more youthful without being able to identify what changed.
After your final treatment session, results continue to improve for several months as collagen production continues. Full results are typically visible at 3–6 months after the final treatment.
Sculptra Treatment Areas
Sculptra is most commonly used for comprehensive facial rejuvenation, addressing: Temple hollowing. Cheek volume loss. Jawline definition. Nasolabial folds. Marionette lines. Pre-jowl area. Chin projection.
Sculptra is also used off-label for body applications including the Sculptra Butt Lift (non-surgical buttock enhancement), skin laxity on the décolletage, and hand rejuvenation. At iGlow Vegas, we'll discuss the full range of applications during your consultation.
Who Is Sculptra For?
Sculptra is particularly well-suited for patients who want comprehensive facial rejuvenation rather than targeted correction of a specific area. It's an excellent choice for patients who want results that look completely natural — because the improvement comes from your own collagen, not from an injected substance that remains in your face.
It's also ideal for patients who are concerned about the maintenance required with HA fillers. While Sculptra requires an upfront series of treatments, the results last significantly longer — up to 2 years — reducing the frequency of maintenance appointments.
Personalized Care
Am I a Good Candidate?
Sculptra is appropriate for adults experiencing facial volume loss who want gradual, natural-looking, long-lasting results. It is particularly well-suited for patients who want comprehensive facial rejuvenation rather than targeted spot treatment. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and patients with autoimmune conditions should discuss their history with our team.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many Sculptra treatments will I need?
+
Most patients require 2–3 treatment sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart for optimal results. The exact number depends on the degree of volume loss and your individual goals.
When will I see results from Sculptra?
+
Unlike HA fillers, Sculptra results develop gradually over 3–6 months as your body produces new collagen. You'll notice progressive improvement following each treatment session, with full results visible several months after your final treatment.
How long do Sculptra results last?
+
Clinical studies have shown Sculptra results lasting up to 2 years. Individual results vary based on age, lifestyle, and the degree of volume loss treated.
Is Sculptra reversible?
+
Unlike HA fillers, Sculptra cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase. However, because results develop gradually and are based on your own collagen production, there is no abrupt change in appearance.
